The virtual world blogging community at Thumdar.com.
Once There re-opens, and the designer community is once again allowed to create items, What would you like to see?
These requests can be for anything, and any designer can use the answers to inspire them to create items for you!
After all, who wants to spend the time to make something if no one wants them?

Though we would still have prop item options, skute creation with additional custom animation is a monster that is not just technical but I think a philosophical one in the world of There. In reality, even I am on the fence with this issue mainly cause I like the expressive and fluid nature that we took for granted of the idle animations of the avies. I am also an avid person for customization of everything and anything in world. So you can see the two sides warring in my mind and in among the developers and the genpop of the knowledgeable Therians.
The last round of stylemaker updates with new skutes was a mismatched opportunity of getting new things for there as well as testing and getting things done behind the scene for Makena at large. The mapping issues and animation breaking testing they(mainly chaz as the leader) did with those clothing designers is something I don't wish upon any engineer.
As I read back over the last two paragraphs I am almost cringing at the tone that sounds like I am defending and shooting down ideas. I say lets go for the middle ground and try to get things that lead up to skute creation and see how it goes.
I guess it depends on the meshes available at the time... I for one, love to see some Victorian-era dresses, Old Western dresses, that sort of thing. It's different to look at, and as busty as those corset-topped dresses can be, it still isn't as skimpy as some of the other outfits you see in other virtual worlds. ;-) Sexy does not always = Skimpy.
Also, I'd love to see more houses, new ones; it gets boring seeing the same ones over and over again. I wish I could import some of my Sims 3 creations to There with ease... Oh well. *sigh*
