"Life sucks and then you die"

 I'm not sure where I heard this saying / phrase, but it comes to mind, thinking of the There.com closing- of course, with a lot less "sucking" taking in consideration of how much time there has been here. :)

Honestly, I didn't think it was going to end like this especially with so little notice. In Japan a company / person only giving one weeks notice for closing the service would be in very big trouble. Very likely illegal, at that.

 A few months ago a Japanese virtual world named Synthe closed, giving a 3 month notice.  This virtual world was only one year old, had it stayed around I would be spending my "There" time in Synthe.

 I'm having mixed/weird feelings about there.com closing.. I'm not sure I'm sad.. maybe I am- I'm shocked, that's the best way there is to explain it.. very, very shocked. Sometimes when the shock fades I am angry. I think I'm so angry and bitter my brain can't process the emotion properly so I'm just left with this numb, empty feeling.

Honestly, for me this isn't all about There.. its about my life in general.

When I signed up for There.com in 2003 I was happy and artistically content, not rich, or even well off but I had enough to eat and buy new clothing & art supplies. Now in 2010 as There.com ends I'm miserable, used, tired, poor depressed & extremely stressed. Usually I'd say "things can't get any worse" but, the truth is they can, and likely will.

I hope I do at least get my Therebucks money back - I was planning on buying some paints / canvas...(but it will likely go in to loans anyway, always does.)

I haven't painted anything since I started using Second Life. I can't afford anything, whatsoever. I'm not going too far in to this- I wouldn't even mention it if There wasn't closing, but however bad your imagining my money situation multiply that by 1000 and you may get close :)

 Anyway, back to There, for now I am taking pictures of every single There.com thing I have ever made including limited editions, unsubmitted items, rejected items (there isn't many) and paid commissions.

I hope I'll have some time to talk / do many more things before it does close. I'm so busy that I've put off important things and skipped sleeping for 2 days, then slept 4 hours..and.. I don't know after that I don't even remember :p I have a bad cold now and can't afford medicine so I may not be able to get all the pictures before it shuts down- I'm trying hard, though. I really don't want these 6+ years I've designed for There to go to waste.
