I was reminded by a comment by Michael Wilson (some of you have probably heard of him) about his preference for pretty people. Technically I wasn’t reminded about his preference for pretty people, I guess, but it was his comment about his preference for pretty people which actually made me think I should be reminded of something, but since I am getting up there in age, it didn’t remind me of anything.
It was that thought that actually reminded me that some say the memory is what goes first and it was then that I realized that wasn’t true. It’s the pretty which leaves us before the memory.
I have evidence that it is the pretty which peters out pre-memory because, although I have never been the prettiest devil to scare an unsuspecting soul, I did remember a time in my past when I was told that I was actually a pretty baby. I may be long removed from my prettiness, but I can still remember that I once had been told I was. If you ever need proof that recall isn't always first to fall, I hope you can remember that.
