Ok so im looking for a taga buggy!! I really want one of the old school white or grey ones. but one of the new colored ones will do, as long as its not the purple one! Im not a fan of purple haha! Also, I do not have a ton of cash. So i hope you would be willing to make a trade. a have a few rare buggies and stuff so im sure we could work something out!

The browser is working!

I submitted a test result to the Wine AppDB explaining my issues with the browser among other things. I got a response from the maintainer of the There entry, who happens to be Bruce, the Computer Systems Analyst for Makena.

He simply provided me with some commands indicating to install IE6 and MSXML3 with the Wine architecture set to 32-bit.

Because of the difficulty of installing an older version of IE than the one already installed, I decided to give There a dedicated Wine prefix, which is much like a dedicated installation of Windows, except it only takes about 60MB.

After some testing, I found that MSXML3 was the key and it also works with IE7 and IE8. I was trying MSXML4 before, which doesn't help. IE8 is very slow compared to IE6 and IE7, and the map doesn't work with IE6, so I'm using IE7 which is just about perfect apart from being a bit slower than native Chrome.

So, with that, I would say that There is now VERY playable in Linux. The worst issue now is that sound systems don't work due to "MP3 decoders unavailable", which is now my top priority to resolve.

It appears that Bruce is holding back my not-so-great test result since his solution is a huge improvement. I will be submitting a new test result on the Wine AppDB once I either resolve the outstanding issues or give up trying.
