I thought creating a discussion group would might make things easier...

A lot of your commands on your site aren't working.

I tested nearly half of them and they are not doing anything.

Also, is there a way for us to add our own commands like:

GoTo, website access, or a funny joke?

It would be nice to know for sure what was doing it. Ill keep an eye open for anything i am doing that might be the cause.

Thanks for that.No, not coincidence. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with various options and configs. I will try ogl see if that gives me any joy otherwise I will try turning them off one at a time.

Oh, I did not say that this instance is running as a VM on a Mac Book Pro.

I have no idea dave, doesn't sound familiar.

You can simply delete the mods and restat to figure out which one it is.
The only mod that starts by default is quickbar. The rest have to be turned on.

resources/funfinder/funfinder.swf
delete that

resources/compass/compass.swf
or delete that and see if you can get in.

I did have alot of seg vios logging in, and i had to turn off dx9. Never figured out what object was causig it but i don't think it was a mod. Are you sure it wasn't coincidental.

Hey Tab, I am having this really really pesky issue. I started getting a seg viol after installing using the Universal Installer. It started happening after I changed There res one time and ever since I can only run there without your mod. I uninstall There, reinstall and it is fine untill I run the Universal Installer again.

The seg viol happens as soon as I log in and the world starts to load. I am reluctant to send it to There since mods are unsupported and I suspect they may be unsympathetic.

I am running the latest flash.

well a poid is a paper object ID
So things that are copiable have a doid and a poid.

Thats why my documentation has 2 lists to show which category its in book or sign.

But there were alot of stuff added using the new actionkt (therescript) code in the past 3 years.

I think you're right. the edit links seem to be different for various types of items.

Its possible some of the newer signs or scrolls, don't use the traditional poid and sign urls.
I will check on these.

What kind of book was the first one, or post your actual doid/poids so i can look at it.

I've notice an issue with making custom edit buttons for books and signs (scrolls appear to work correctly.

books: I create a folder within quickbar\edit doc and name it 'test1 - book - 12345678'. When I scan folders and click the link, a blank There browser opens but nothing is displayed. The browser's address is

'http://webapps.prod.there.com/theredoc/theredoc?op=editStart&poid=12345678'.

When I bring the document in world and click its edit link, I'm seeing a browser window with a slightly different address (this one works).

'http://webapps.prod.there.com/theredoc/theredoc?op=editStart&doid=12345678'

signs: i create a similar folder within quickbar\edit sign for a Vertical Wood sign test2 - sign - 12345678 i get a There browser window with the error message

'Sorry, we're unable to display this sign for you

The address for this window is 'http://webapps.prod.there.com/sign/sign?op=edit&id=16507992&mode=OT'

When I bring this sign in world and click its edit link I see a browser window with a very different address: 'http://webapps.prod.there.com/actionkit/actionkit?poid=16507992&op=view&stylesheet=textsign_edit.xsl'

It could be a simple correction, but other kinds of signs should be checked. I can check the ones that can be 'tried' but some signs aren't available for this.

The previous version used the file 'bedican.xml' in the C:\Makena\There\ThereClient\Resources\compass folder to allow for custom commands. I don't know the syntax nor do I know if the current compass makes use of it.
