Unlock Your Privacy Power on Thumdar! 🔒✨
Hey Thumdar community—did you know you control exactly who sees your posts? Here’s how to make your content as public or as private as you like, right when you share it:
Find Your Privacy Menu
When you compose a post (on either the public timeline or your personal feed), look just under your username on the left. Tap that dropdown!
Choose Your Audience
- Public (All Members): Share with everyone on Thumdar.
- My Connections: Only people you’ve friended see your post.
- Only Me: Visible only to you (and moderators/admins).
- Post in Group: Select one of your groups to post directly there.
Why It Matters
- Illusion vs. Reality: Even if you see your post on the public timeline, it respects the setting you picked. If you chose “My Connections,” only your friends actually see it.
- Edit Windows: You can tweak your post’s privacy right after posting, but only briefly, to keep things secure and prevent misuse.
Gallery & Media
Uploaded photos or videos in your Gallery? You can adjust each item’s privacy anytime from your Gallery settings.
⚡ Power Tip: Before you share anything—whether it’s a timeline post, a group announcement, a gallery upload, or a comment—look for the privacy setting. It might appear under your name, beside the post button, or in a gear or “…” menu depending on where you’re posting, but it’s always there. Selecting the right option ensures your content is seen only by the audience you choose: everyone, just your connections, a specific group, or only you. 👍
