New failover setup coming Monday
Still no internet and still no ETA, and at this point I am the definition of an annoyed customer. Since this has turned into a bigger headache than it ever should have been, I have already taken steps to make sure this does not happen again.
I have secondary internet being installed on Monday. Once it is set up, if my main connection ever goes down, the system will automatically switch over to the backup network so I can keep working without interruption. This backup also includes a battery system, which means that even during an outage I can still access everything I need to handle updates, create posts, and keep the giveaways moving without relying on a hotspot.
For clarity, the Thumdar website itself does not go down. The only time you ever see downtime is for planned maintenance or updates. What this situation affects is my ability to create content, upload graphics, and push changes that require a stable connection. Hotspotting is unreliable for that kind of work, and this weekend has made that painfully obvious. I also have a family here who currently cannot use any of their devices, so having a stable and redundant setup is important for everyone.
Starting Monday, situations like this will not stop anything again. These new measures will keep everything on track so the community does not have to deal with delays in the future.
