Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice (SB 370 / NPICICA)
Effective Date: 3/31/2024
At Thumdar, your privacy is not just a checkbox—it’s a commitment. While we are proudly based in Nebraska and not legally required to comply with Nevada Senate Bill 370 (also known as the Nevada Privacy of Information Collected on the Internet from Consumers Act, or NPICICA), we voluntarily support the spirit and intent of the law to uphold the highest standards of data respect and transparency.
We believe that protecting personal data—especially sensitive health-related data—is not a matter of compliance. It’s a matter of principle.
Our Commitment to Nevada Residents (and Everyone Else)
- We Don’t Sell Consumer Health Data: Thumdar has never sold personal or health-related data, and we never will. That includes data typically protected under Nevada’s privacy laws.
- We Don’t Share Sensitive Data Without Consent: We do not collect, process, or share any information about your physical or mental health, biometric data, or similar sensitive identifiers without your direct and informed permission. In fact, we rarely collect such data at all.
- We Minimize What We Collect: Our platform collects only the information necessary to help you enjoy the Thumdar experience—nothing more. We don’t collect health-related data unless you explicitly choose to share it (and even then, it stays private).
- We Support Your Right to Control Your Information: Whether or not NPICICA applies to you, you have full control over your data on Thumdar. That means you can view, download, or remove your information through your account settings at any time—no request form needed.
Your Rights Under Nevada SB 370 (And How We Honor Them)
Even though this law may not formally apply to us, we uphold the same values behind it. Here’s how your rights are respected:
- Right to Know What We Have: You can access and view the personal data tied to your account directly from your settings page.
- Right to Delete: If you wish to remove your data, you can initiate deletion yourself or contact us using the form at the bottom of any page, and we’ll take care of it.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: If you’ve ever shared something and changed your mind, you can withdraw that consent at any time—no penalties, no judgment, no hassle.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Whether you exercise your privacy rights or not, your Thumdar experience stays the same. We’ll never treat you differently because you choose to take control of your data.
We’re With You—Always
We designed Thumdar to be a space for creativity, expression, and connection—not for harvesting personal data. Our promise is to keep it that way, and to treat your information with the same care we’d want for our own.
We may not be in Nevada, but your right to privacy doesn’t stop at state lines—and neither does our respect for it.
Need Help? Have Questions?
