Thumdar gives you full control over how you receive updates
— because staying connected should feel empowering, not overwhelming.
By default, notifications are turned on for common actions like replies, likes, tags, mentions, and friend requests. It helps keep your experience alive and interactive. But we also know that too many notifications — especially email ones — can pile up fast.
That’s why we built tools that let you decide what’s important.
🛠 Notification Settings Made Easy
Head to your notification settings and choose exactly what you want to be notified about. You can:
- Enable or disable email alerts for specific actions
- Choose between in-site notifications, email, or both
- Control what types of activity trigger an alert
- Adjust your settings anytime to match your preferences
This means no more unnecessary emails and no more alerts for things you don’t care about — just what matters to you.
📬 Subscriptions: Curate Your Feed
Inside your settings, there’s also a Subscriptions section. This is where you manage what you’ve followed — groups, discussions, topics, and more.
If your feed is starting to feel noisy or cluttered, this is the place to:
- Unsubscribe from old or inactive discussions
- Stop following groups you no longer engage with
- Clean up your stream so it stays focused and useful
