User Content Policy

Thumdar User Content Policy

Effective Date: 5/11/2025

At Thumdar, we celebrate creativity, community, and expression. Your content is a core part of what makes this platform thrive — from your profile photos and forum posts to event flyers, group banners, and original designs. That’s why we’ve crafted a User Content Policy that is built on respect, ownership, and transparency — for your protection, and for the benefit of the entire Thumdar community.

1. You Own What You Create

When you post or upload content to Thumdar — including but not limited to text, artwork, images, designs, videos, audio clips, and event materials — you retain full ownership of your intellectual property.

Thumdar does not claim ownership of your work.

We completely respect your creative rights. Your content remains yours, and you are free to use, share, license, or remove it at your discretion, subject to this policy and our general Terms of Service.

2. What You Grant to Thumdar

By posting or uploading content to the Thumdar platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and promote that content only in the context of the platform and its features, including, for example:

  • Showcasing your creations in group galleries, featured timelines, or search results
  • Displaying thumbnails, banners, or snippets across event listings, forums, or user profiles
  • Using public content to highlight active community contributions (e.g., “top event posters” or “featured creators”)

This license enables us to deliver a seamless and engaging community experience, but it is strictly limited to the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Thumdar platform. We do not resell, sublicense, or exploit your content outside the Thumdar ecosystem, and we never will.

If you delete your content or close your account, this license is automatically revoked for any future use, though cached or previously displayed content may remain visible for a short time while the system updates.

3. Respecting the Rights of Others

Just as you retain the rights to your work, so do others. We ask all users to:

  • Only share content you own or have permission to use
  • Properly credit the original creators when appropriate
  • Refrain from uploading or reposting copyrighted material without clear, documented rights

Violations — including plagiarism, unauthorized use of third-party materials, or misleading claims of authorship — are taken seriously and may result in content removal, warnings, or account suspension.

4. Content Visibility and Community Sharing

Thumdar is a vibrant space where creativity can be discovered and celebrated. When you post public content, it may appear across multiple areas of the platform to help others find, engage with, or support your work. For example:

  • Your post might appear in public timelines or topical showcases
  • Group submissions may be promoted to non-group users
  • Profile highlights or recent uploads may be featured to others exploring the community

You can control the visibility of your content through your privacy settings or by choosing where and how you share it. Thumdar will never override your privacy choices or promote content you’ve set to private or restricted.

5. Handling Infringement and Disputes

If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded to Thumdar without your permission, you may file a formal complaint through our [Copyright Dispute Process] (linked in the footer or policy directory). We will investigate all valid claims promptly and act in accordance with applicable laws, including the DMCA, where appropriate.

If you’re found to have unintentionally posted content in violation of someone else’s rights, we’ll work with you to resolve the issue, but repeat or willful infringement may result in account penalties.

6. Community Standards Still Apply

All content must also adhere to our Community Standards. That means no harassment, hate speech, explicit violence, or harmful content — even if it’s original. Content that violates Thumdar’s safety or decency guidelines will be removed regardless of ownership status.

Community Standards:

7. Contributor Tools & Document Uploads

Verified Contributors, Moderators, and Administrators may have access to additional tools, such as private document upload spaces and custom content showcases. Content shared through these tools remains subject to the same protections and restrictions outlined here, with enhanced privacy and access controls.

These features are intended to support development, collaboration, and moderation, not to create exclusive ownership tiers. The core values of freedom and fairness apply throughout.

In Summary

  • You own your content.
  • Thumdar only uses it to support and enhance the platform experience.
  • You control its visibility and can remove it at any time.
  • We protect your rights, and expect you to respect the rights of others.
  • We do not steal, sell, or misuse your work — ever.

Thumdar was built on a commitment to creative freedom, mutual respect, and community celebration. This policy ensures that your contributions are protected, your voice is heard, and your work is showcased — but never exploited.

Welcome to a platform where your creativity is both safe and celebrated.
