While a lot of us go way back with There.com, this site isn’t just about one platform — it’s about the whole virtual world scene. Whether you’re from Second Life, IMVU, Sansar, or any other virtual space out there, you’re in the right place. Thumdar is here to bring together creators, explorers, gamers, and old-school veterans from all corners of the metaverse.

We’ve got space for conversations, events, creativity, and community, without all the corporate nonsense. This place is run by people who care about the worlds we live in and the people we meet in them.

Hey there, I’m the_hubby — I’ve been part of There.com since 2008. Back in the day, I went by basolo24, but after meeting my amazing wife (the_wifey) in-game, things changed for the better. We hit it off, got married, and here we are — 16 years strong and raising two awesome kids together.

I’m big into technology, but I also love getting outside — whether it’s fishing, hunting, hiking, or just exploring something new. I’ve even dabbled in a little winemaking (funny enough, I don’t drink — go figure).

In late 2024, I took over Thumdar to help bring the spirit of the community back to life. So if you catch me in-game or on the site, don’t hesitate to say hi — always glad to connect with old friends and new faces.

I used to be known as Basolo24 in There.com until I met my wife and now my avatar name is The_hubby if your recognize my old name from game I would love to reconnect!

In loving memory of my uncle Joe (Basolo78)

I wanted to take a moment to honor my Uncle Joe, who went by Basolo78 in There.com. He was the one who introduced me to the world of virtual spaces, and little did I know then that his influence would set the course for much of my life.

I owe so much to him, not just for introducing me to virtual worlds, but also for being a mentor, collaborator, and friend. We spent countless hours together dancing, creating, and exploring in There.com. One of my fondest memories is when he built my wife a pink buggy in the game—one of many creations he lovingly put together. We also worked side by side on our first website, VRGS.com, pouring our passion into it.

Sadly, Uncle Joe passed away too young due to heart complications. Though he’s no longer with us, his impact on my life is immeasurable. His encouragement and creativity laid the foundation for everything I’m doing today. I wish he could have seen how far I’ve come—especially as I celebrate almost 16 years of marriage, a milestone I truly believe wouldn’t have been possible without his role in bringing Becca and me together.

Uncle Joe, I miss you dearly. Your memories are a treasure, and I’ll carry them with me always. I only wish you could have been here to witness the incredible adventure that life has been and continues to be. Thank you for everything.
